What is chelate?

• Chelate comes from the Greek "Chele" which means claw. 

• Chemically combines positive micronutrient (Cu, Zn, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ca) with organic molecules (chelating agents) such as phenolic acid, EDTA. 

• By binding to micronutrient ions in a protective grip, organic molecules protect micronutrient positive ions bound by peat soil containing negative ions .
